I started making clothes in my bedroom, wanting to understand how the clothes were made in the fashion magazines. I didn't have a clue what the industry was all about and definitely did not know how to break in - all I knew is that I had a passion for it.
What followed was education, hard work, and a lot of failure. From entry-level graft to independent consultancy, to building and leading teams from the ground up. Today, as Design Director at one of my dream brands, I'm still in it. Still learning. Still hungry. Still raw.
I built Raw Edge because the talent is everywhere. What's missing is honest, direct guidance from someone actually inside the industry right now - not a recycled success story, but a living, practising professional who wants to be of service.
